Fair Housing Turns 50!

April 2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act (FHA), the landmark federal law that bans housing discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, and familial status.

This year also marks the 50-year career milestone of fair housing expert Anne Sadovsky, who has logged millions of miles traveling across the country educating property owners and management professionals. “I have a positive message, encouraging education in fair housing and the importance of developing and improving communication and motivation,” says Sadovsky.

Over the years, Sadovsky has seen and done it all—and in a recent webinar, she shared stories about the fair housing-related blunders that she’s seen multifamily property owners and managers make—and discusses strategies for avoiding them.
